2022 continued to be a hard slog, especially for those who were in the middle of construction. But despite the on-going labour shortages, there were plenty of reasons to smile over the past 12 months. Check out what made Move Homes’ list of the top 7 highlights of 2022!
New Home Designs
We looked back at the most popular home designs over recent years and made them better! Yep, that meant more sculleries, workshops, and 5 bedroom homes. We made sure our floor plans suited Perth’s most popular block sizes, but also designed them to be built in our Prime BrickSteel.
Prime BrickSteel
This year we handed over more homes that were built with Prime BrickSteel, and they were amazing! These homes include higher ceilings and wall painting as a standard which makes for a nicer finish. It was also positive seeing more homes built across Perth using steel frames, providing buyers with greater choice.
More Products
Coinciding with the launch of our new home designs, we also increased the products and colours that came as standard in our homes. Instead of just polished chrome, our clients were able to choose matte black or brushed nickel for their taps and showerheads. Their flooring could be 600x600mm tiles or hybrid planks. And we also introduced more brick colours that now include cool hues.
Local Events
It was great to see more events happening across Perth as we said goodbye to masks and restrictions. Not only was it great to network with others in the industry, but the craziness of the past few years has resulted in some great start-ups and initiatives occurring in the city. We’re proud to be a part of the community and excited to see what comes next!

We don’t just rely on the support from the Move Homes and Prime teams, but all of our suppliers and trades. It’s been a hard slog for the past 2 years, and we know that without the assistance from all trades we would not be able to build our quality homes.

The best thing about building a home is when we get to hand the keys to the clients! Whether it’s a couple’s first home or a family’s forever home, the excitement of moving in always brings a smile to our faces. New and Improved
Towards the end of the year, we have been working on a few projects to help improve the client experience. One of them is our new pre-start room, which is under construction in December 2022, and will showcase the new products and colours for our clients to choose. This is just one of the things we will be launching in the new year!
