Over 13 years ago I was hired by Joe to work for our parent company The Prime Group. It started out as a marketing position updating websites, but grew to finding the best places to invest in Perth, negotiating land acquisitions, and managing our accounts. Now I am able to help first home buyers build a home to call their own.
Being General Manager of Move Homes is not something I take for granted. I’m grateful it allows me to combine my two major passions – helping people and property.
It’s a pleasure working with like minded people who want nothing more than to help West Australians build a quality home.
Before I joined Move Homes, I worked in the investment division within the The Prime Group. I remember Golden Bay estate launching and we were selling turnkey house and land packages for under $350,000. Now, it’s an established community and those same packages would be closer to the $500,000 mark.
I’ve also been involved in the creation and selling of boutique land estates like the Crest in Landsdale and Peregrine in Piara Waters. It’s incredible to see how those suburbs have transformed with more families filling up the communities.
But I’ve also got a soft spot for established suburbs like Duncraig and Padbury. I spent many days down by the beach in my youth and while land is harder to come by in those areas, we can often find something by reaching out to our professional network.
After the craziness of the Government Grants in 2020, I worked with our drafting team to look at what floor plans were our most popular and how we could make them better.
If I had to pick my three favourite designs, I would say the Beech, Cherry and Larch. Each of these homes have everything expected in a modern home- open plan living, plenty of space in the kitchen, and bedrooms that are big enough for double beds. But they’ve also been designed for standard block sizes and give our clients options to customise the floor plan.
We’re also building a display home of the Cherry that will be very similar to our standard specification so home buyers can visualise what they get in their home.
Building your first home will be one of the best investments of your life.
Perth’s population will continue to grow over the coming decades, so there will be no shortage in demand for new homes.
Whether it’s your forever home or the first of many, building can give your family a great future.
I believe it’s important to get an understanding of the many different aspects of the property industry. This includes networking with the creative minds who are innovating Perth’s property technology, but also visiting the homes we have under construction.
For most people, their first home isn’t their forever home. Building a home that suits your lifestyle and budget is the first step in achieving your future house goals.
Over the last 50 years we have proudly built over 20,000 homes for Australian families. We have the same values today as we did in 1969 when we built our first home in Light Street Dianella.
Our commitment is to provide you with complete transparency and give you a real understanding of all aspects of your home loan.
