Before I joined Move Homes and The Prime Group, I had been living out of home for less than a year. The concept of home construction was new to me so I had a lot to learn!
But I’ve been fortunate to be surrounded by people with decades of experience who are willing to teach. This can be a supervisor discussing the different roof materials or a designer explaining how R-Codes affect setbacks.
I believe it’s important to educate home buyers about their building journey. Building is a big decision, so I want them to feel confident when they pick their builder. I want them to understand all the boxes we tick from when they sign their PBA to picking up their keys. Our team work incredibly hard to bring every client’s vision to life and the homes we build are top quality.
I’ve been fortunate to visit many of Perth’s new suburbs over the past decade.
In my first week at The Prime Group, I remember driving out to Alkimos and there was nothing but vacant land to the north. Today that region is filled with many masterplanned estates that boast new cafes with ocean views, million dollar parks and even an extended train line (finally!).
The same goes for Brabham. The treelined streets are filled with families walking their kids to school, to the shops or one of the huge parks. It’s a perfect example of how communities evolve over years of careful planning.
That’s why I’m excited to see how Wanneroo changes over the coming decades. Perth’s population continues to grow, so it’s important that we build homes and neighbourhoods that people want to live in.
Since launching our new home designs, we’ve incorporated a variety of features in our floor plans.
The Lilac is a great design for a first home buyer and I love having the laundry come off the scullery. The Reed includes a games section at the back and a huge walk-in robe behind the bed in the main bedroom. The Juniper has an activity area gives growing families flexibility in their home- it can be a play area for young kids or a study area for teenagers.
But I also enjoy seeing the tweaks that our clients make to our designs, especially if it’s a luxury ensuite!

It’s tempting to scroll through social media for information, but there’s a reason we go to the doctors and not Wikipedia for medical advice.
Your needs and wants are specific to you, so chat to someone who understands the big picture (and isn’t just letting off steam!).
