As you may all be aware after yesterday’s announcement, the Perth metropolitan area, Peel and the South-West regions must all undergo a 5 day lockdown in order to stop the spread of COVID-19.
Fortunately for the building industry, the Executive Director of Master Builders Association of WA has been in discussions with the Premier, and confirmed that building and construction sites are allowed to continue to work as normal under the lockdown rules and regulations. Rules are as follows: masks to be worn at all times, practice of good hygiene and social distancing.
Measures will be undertaken for any workers who have attended any affected areas on the list, and will be tested and undergo isolation until a negative result has been confirmed.
What is Move Homes doing?
Fortunately, the Prime Group and Move Homes team is able to continue as normal – working from home and having selected workers in the office.
I was suppose to do a Prestart, what happens now?
If you have a prestart booked the admin team will be in touch shortly to work on alternative dates or methods.
What if I was suppose to have a site meeting?
For those who had a site meeting booked or a handover, again our team are working out the next steps in regards to these appointments.
What if I have a maintenance issue?
For the time being, all non-essential maintenance items – such as cosmetic issues like loose door handles – will be put on hold and attended to on a later date. However, if you have an electrical, plumbing (leaking taps), appliance, or hot water unit issue then notify maintenance as soon as possible.
We will endeavour to keep everyone updated throughout this process, and patience is appreciated during this time.
For now we hope everyone stays safe and we’ll see everyone on the other side.
