A lot has happened to Alkimos over the last couple of years, and Shorehaven Estate is one of them!
This master-planned estate by Peet is a lively beachside community that sits in the suburb’s north. It has a breathtaking 1.7km of coastline for swimming, surfing and to just laze about in the sun. Plus, there is also an abundance of restaurants and cafes to choose from, such as Oceans 27 Restaurant and The Shore Cafe. But if you prefer to DIY, you have heaps of space at the Waterfront Park for picnics with communal barbecues and benches to use.
And if you think it’s good now, wait till you see what’s to come. More primary and high schools, an aged care project, a village centre and parks will be here soon!
The Master Plan
Adventure outdoors!
Aside from the beautiful beach side, Shorehaven has plenty of outdoor fun to offer. For example, there is the 4ha Waterfront Park that is right on the beach (perfect for weekends!). There is also the Treasure Island Adventure Playground which includes an interactive treasure hunt and stacks of other private themed fun. Plus, you have a footy and cricket oval, as well as barbecues and shaded spots to enjoy picnics!
Anyone hungry?
Breakfast, lunch and dinner is sorted with the popular Oceans 27 Restaurant that sits on the Shorehaven foreshore with panoramic views of the ocean. Or pop over to The Shore Cafe for some beachside takeaway food and sit on the beach to watch the sunset, the choice is yours!
Shorehaven also hosts a range of food trucks on the Waterfront Park in the summer, as well as other events throughout the year!
Community Living
A lot has already happened in Shorehaven, and there is still plenty more on the horizon.
Northshore Christian Grammar School offers enrolments for all primary and secondary years, and is also heavily involved in community events, hosting family fun days, information sessions and a lot more.
There is also the Alkimos Medical Centre, a Great Beginnings Childcare centre, petrol station, groceries and other small businesses in the area.
