The moment every person building is waiting for – Prestart! One of the most exciting steps in the building process.
This is where you get to select all your internal and external colours, electrical fittings, standard selections and any upgrades you want. There are plenty of items to include in your new home and we want to make the process quick and easy for you. That’s why we have come up with a list of things to do and other elements to consider!

Firstly, it is important to think of all the changes you want to make before you come into your Prestart meeting. Particularly during this building boom, as we currently have a large number of clients in the system, we are unable to make any changes after your Prestart Meeting.
In order to help with this, we have put together a Prestart Selection Guide to help! This is a handy booklet we have put together that has all of our standard and upgrade range to choose from! All you have to do is have a flick through and tick your choices and you can either email it back or bring it with your to your Prestart.
Another important note to mention, is structural changes. Currently, we are no longer allowing these changes due to the building boom. However, in a normal market, it is important to have all structural changes finalised BEFORE your prestart. This is in order to have your plans updated with the changes so the rest of the “cosmetic” changes are easier to add and visualise. Structural changes include modifiying ceiling heights, window sizes, internal and external walls, the elevation and a few other bits and bobs.
♦ Tip:
Walk around your current home. Take note of what you like and dislike. This could be the height of a shower, or a lack of powerpointsin the kitchen.

It is recommended that every client visits our suppliers showrooms before having their Prestart Meeting in order to have a better look and understanding of the product range, that way when you come to your Prestart finalising your choices is a lot easier.

Crosbys Tiles
Not only do Crosby Tiles have a great selection of tiles, but you also choose your stone bench tops and Formica bench tops and facings.
We recommend the showroom in Osbourne Park, as they have a large range of products on display. They will also show you the exact products that are standard with Move Homes (so you don’t get any nasty $$ surprises). They will also discuss any upgrades you would like. Once you’ve made your selections, they will write them all down and send them directly to us, so you don’t have to try remember every single colour when you get to Prestart!
They are open Monday to Saturday, and you don’t need to make an appointment!

Sheehans Electrical
Sheehans Electrical use the industry leading Clipsal products so you get the best technology. But even better is that you sit down with one of their electricians to discuss your unique requirements.
The huge benefit that comes with going to Sheehans, is that they go through things you would never have thought of! Like an extra point on the side of your island bench, an extra light in the hallway, or even home automation ideas for the more tech savvy. They will go through every part of your home making sure you get the best outcome.
Again, you don’t have to remember everything, as we send them copies of your floorplans and they mark them up with everything you selected and send it directly back to us!
Sheehans are based in Wangara, just 15mins down the road from us! Open Monday to Friday (6am-4:30pm) by appointment only.

Trevors Carpets
We have partnered with Trevors Carpets to give you a huge range of flooring that come as standard! We encourage you to visit their showroom at 12 Frobisher Street, Osborne Park. However, we do have their standard range in our Selection Centre.
The benefit of seeing their showroom in person, is that you’re able to place the different floorings together on the ground so you get an idea of what it’ll look like. They will also go through the different materials and help you select what might best sort your style and lifestyle (especially if you have kids or pets).
Open Monday to Saturday and no appointment is needed.
