The Move Homes team went down to the Stirling Civic Gardens to celebrate the sixth Jambo Africa Festival. The event was a great platform to showcase the tastes, sounds, rhythms, smells and flavours of Africa to life. Also, it helped break away from misconceptions of the African-Australian community in Western Australia. Because Move Homes has a multi-cultural team, we understand how important it is to have a mutual respect for all cultural and religious communities.
This year’s event was a huge success with roughly 15,000 people in the crowd, overtaking last year’s numbers. There were plenty of highlights throughout the day- entertainment on the main stage, the colours in the clothing stalls, and the delicious food stalls!
It was a great day seeing a strong support for the African community and everything it entails! A massive thank you and congratulations goes out to the Organisation of African Communities for organising the event. We are proud to support the OAC and are excited to see more events in the future!
